Veteran foster family willing to listen, teach, explain and encourage new families along the journey
Willing to provide meals, transportation, academic tutoring, yard work, etc.
Willing to meet several requirements and receive training in order to be able to care for children in foster care for up to two weeks
Not everyone is called to foster/adopt, but every Christian is called to do something.
Foster families are, in effect, local missionaries. By accepting a child into their home, they also open their door to caseworkers, case managers, CASA volunteers, birth families, therapy team members, school professionals, medical professionals and others. They have the opportunity to share the tangible love of Christ.
For too long now, the church has been silent in the battle for children with no voice. Foster families serving on the front lines lack support and, on average, 50% will quit after one placement. In recent years, we’ve seen an “only God” movement in this area, and, by His grace, we can provide hope for all children IF every church does their part. The math is on our side. The number of area churches exceeds the number of children in foster care; therefore, A Home for Every Child is attainable!
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans…” James 1:27
